Cave & Forest Walk
— Cotubanamá

An immersive exploration of Cotubanamá National Park — its birds, its plants,
and the spectacular Cueva del Puente.

Guided Walk & Birdwatching from Dominicus, Dominican Republic.
For travelers, families, schools, companies, and nature lovers — Approx. 3.5 hours

Experience Overview

Far from the tourist crowds, this immersive walk takes you into the heart of Cotubanamá National Park, where we explore local flora, emblematic bird species, and the iconic Cueva del Puente.

Along the way, you may spot the tiny and vibrant Broad‑billed Tody, the discreet long‑tailed Hispaniolan Lizard Cuckoo, or even the Ashy‑faced Owl, which often nests in caves like Cueva del Puente.

We also encounter characteristic plants of the dry forest, from jasmine with its delicate fragrance to guáyiga, once used by Taíno people to make bread, and almácigo, an iconic tree traditionally used for crafting small boats.

Inside the cave, ancient roots pierce the ceiling in search of light, surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites. A small colony of bats rests quietly in the darkness, discreet inhabitants of this unique place.

An invitation to open your eyes and ears for a deep connection with nature.

This experience can also be combined with a private yoga session for a full morning of well-being.
